Papillon Press was founded in 2009 by illustrator couple Chantal Bennett and Joel Kimmel. We were originally based in a basement in Sudbury, Ontario, but in 2013 we moved our 10x15 Chandler & Price letterpress, all our type cabinets and other printing gear to our current studio in Westport, Ontario. In 2017, we decided to scale down the printing side of the business and focus on freelance illustration. We still have a large selection of our illustrated greeting cards for sale in our Etsy shop. We still take on the occasional letterpress printing job and also host workshops on typesetting and printing your own note cards.
